"I Can't Stop Thinking About You" was announced as one of the top ten songs in the Wake Up Nashville songwriting contest. Mike has been asked to perform this song at the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sept 29.

"The Ghost of Mr. Bill" bluegrass song wins third place in the "Come Home to Bluegrass" Songwriting Contest in honor of Bill Monroe's 100th birthday.

PG-43 performed to the largest audience ever to attend a live show at the reopened Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown, KY. Mike's last song of the night was "I'd Paint a Picture," a surprise for his wife, Carol, who's an artist. Mike said he decided that she needed a theme song, too, since his was "I'd Write a Song."
